Sunshine Baptist

We have been entrusted to share the good news of Christ in our personal life, in our neighborhood, in our workplace, in our community... and beyond! This is a privilege each of us shares, as well as a responsibility we must take personally

At Sunshine, we have been blessed with many diverse ministries which enable us to address evangelism (having a passion for the lost), discipleship (spiritual multiplication), and reaching out to those in need. We recognize that the church, having come to Christ, is to now go for Christ. God only asks that we make ourselves available to Him.

We are excited to present to you several of our missions and evangelism ministries which are strategically in place to share the love of Christ through people just like you-people who want to make an eternal difference with their lives.

Whether you are a youth, adult, single, married, whatever......we want the opportunities for you to become involved at Sunshine Baptist to be limitless!

Christ's Hands

Christ’s Hands is a non-denominational, Christ centered organization that has been serving the needs of the people of Harlan County since 1998.  Beginning with 20 meals served in the soup kitchen on the first night, Christ’s Hands has served over 350,000 meals, added a homeless shelter and an emergency food pantry. We are excited to be able to assist with this mission and currently volunteer at Christ's Hands the last Monday of each month. Visit or contact us for more information about how you can make a difference! We honor the Lord by serving others with a willing and humble heart!

"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20.
